off to the town of the dragonslayer

Tonight is the night !
Everyone will feel alright !
Groovez'll be tight !

First gig after a 3 years break. Pretty stoked about it !!
Don't know the location yet, we've never been there but we're pretty sure stuff will work out just fine. We have no supercalifragilisticexpialidocious rockstar demands, though I'd like to try just once to have something like "gummybears from 12 packs of golden Haribos sprinkled all over the hotel beds by 21 year-old green-eyed virgin supermodels" on our request list. That'll be the day ;)

I'll prolly be tweeting all the way during the roadtrip - before/after gig, so check my "less than 140 characters" twitmeister doodledramaticz here .

If anyone's in the area and wants to hang out, just come up to us, repeat these words :
"My conundrum lies within the lines of sidetracked designs of human nature, therefor I humbly admit to being a mere reflection of internal dilemmas. Yagayo ! " and you'll get a free beer and a hug from us. You must be over 18 to apply, of course.

See ya on the flippidy-floppidy,

kwikmixez for Maximum Rock Fest

Two quick and sloppy mixes we will be taking part in the Maximum Rock contest with.

Check all bands HERE

There are 50+ bands so we don't have high hopes to make it to the final :) But you can root for us nontheless \m/ And if by a miracle we get to play in the final, I promise you I'll wear my lucky socks and a T-shirt of your choice !! Out of my own wardrobe of course :P

Anyways, we'll probably be putting up some re-worked (as in better) versions of these two songs on our myspace page soon. These pretty awful mixes were made solely so we can enter the competition - I've sent the songs 3 minutes before the end of the deadline. Yay !

I am starting to like this "couch-potato" type of photo of us. Does that make me a bad person? Or just a genuine couch-potato?

this is how we do it... shalala lala lalala

Episode no 2. The mother of all spaced out, incoherent, distorted bass, feedbacked guitar jamz.
Some say our rehearsal place in the medieval castle is haunted, some say it's the fumes from the sewer that causes people to act strange. We don't know. All we know is that when Asterix sets up his drumkit you can hear fluttering of wings. Angels? Maybe.
Cynics say that they're just those frickin' pigeons living under the roof. Naysayers go forth ! We all know that tha groove of generations lost dwells in that room...and... with such great groove comes great responsability.
Ladies, hold on to your panties. It's going to get sexay !

Actually this is a sort of joint-recommendation with Frankie, 'cuz I am sure he shares the same feelings I have for this band.
This band was recommended to me, in fact the whole Aussie obsession was induced by an aussie bassplayer-buddy of mine. Thanks, Jono :)

Me playing a warwick neckthrough 6 string thumb through an ashdown rig has nothing to do with the fact that Jon from Karnivool, Luke from Cog and Stu from Dead Letter Circus (all aussie bands) also play warwicks through ashdown rigs.
Seriously.
Not kidding.
But they are on to something, aren't they? :P
Killer wicked sound !

Here you go, enjoy

sweet is the memory of past labor

Our very first group pic. From 2003. Opening for Narkoma, alongside Spaz and Gedeon. We played a pretty decent gig but Narkoma knocked our socks off. Never trust a man who says "trust me" \m/

Boy, we can hardly wait for the next gig !
bring 'em on, I say !

Met this girl in Boston, singing on the street and bought one of her cd's. Thought maybe you peeps would like her music, too.

Y'all know that lately I've been skeptical and silent when I would use to speak...and also been listening to AUSSIE music so...naturally my first recommendation would be an eloquent member of the "down-under muzak family"
A belgian-born aussie, but an aussie nontheless.

I promise that I shall break the chain of aussie muzak related recommendation posts...from time to time :) That's why I don't attack yo' eardrums with the heavy artillery. Something light should ease the transition :P

Rocktoberfest

Concerts EVERY WEEKEND - ALL OCTOBER !
WOW ! this hasn't happened since the Black Hole days. Is it possible that we are looking in the eyes of change? Sure do hope so.

We're scheduled to play on the 22nd of October. Planning some surprises for y'all !
We might even surprise ourselves !
So, on the 22nd, forget about doing the laundry, forget about switching on the tube or wasting your precious time online - just come down to VHR and we'll rock yo' socks off ! Well...kinda, don't take everything literally.
Check out the other bands as well, of course. Lotsa thangz goin' on !!

see ya next time,
stay fluff !

just a lovely way to start the day :)

Saint George Rock Night 5

Eleven more days to the first gig in 3 years...wooooo !
Lots of memories linked to this fest - winning best bassplayer, best band, eating one of the best soups ever, William getting a love-note thrown on stage, sleeping in a girls' dorm, me throwing up on the way to the gig...
Good old times.

Looking forward to seeing old friends, rockin' out and hopefully sleeping at a girls' dorm again :))

these days will change us all

Hey kids,

today is a historical day, the birth of zee iCoRy blog. This will be the place where you'll find some of the most uninteresting and useless information about the band (like..did you know that William was once abducted by aliens? didn't think so..),the place where we will out our in-s, upload photos and vidz of us acting stupid and occasionally post some of our gig dates.
Hopefully we'll have time to update it regularly so none of you few people will get bored.

And now ....the first of many:

For those of you who stumbled-upon this blog by accident, we're a band. Check out our myspace page for more info. Then turn around three times, click your heels and say : "there's no place like groove" and you will see your true love's name in the alphabet soup.

That's it for now, kids... and don't forget - wash your teeth after each meal ;)
